Materials:
- Cups x (4)
- Water
- Tinfoil
- Thmomatere
- Black and white paper
- 2 Sheets of white paper-A4 size.
- Heat lamp
- Large cup.
Steps
- Get 3 small cups and 1 large cup
- Fill the small cups with tap water.
- Put the big cup on top of one of the small cups.
- Put two of the cups on the white piece of paper and the other two on the tin foil and on the black paper.

Findings: We found that they were all different temperatures and that the one with the big cup on it did not change temperatures at all and the one that was on the tinfoil was the hottest.

Drama/ Pubescence/Adolescence and Bio Poetry.
Kia ora bloggers on Tuesday we learned about puberty. The important things we learned about are when boys get a deeper voice and About the penis and the vaginas and the periods will not describe the main details about the penis and the vaginas and periods as they are private and you should learn them in other classes. We were also creating our own chorus poems in groups I got into a group of four with... Kadyn, Joseph, and Jayden.

Hurumanu - From Trash to Gas: Biomass
RENEWABLE ENERGY
Aim: To compare the amount of gas that is produced from different types of biomass.
Material:
- (3x) plastic bottle
- 3 balloons
- permanent marker
- disposable gloves
- Cup
- Fresh horse manure
- mashed banana
- funnel
- water.
- Vegetable peelings
Steps:
- label the bottles... Horse manure... horse manure and mashed banana... Horse manure vegetable peelings.
- place one cup of manure in one bottle and fill the bottle and leave a little room in the bottle for air.
- Place one cup of manure in the bottle and add mashed banana and fill with water and leave a little bit of air.
- place the balloons on the 3 bottles.
- Watch.

Investigation.
Research the following Biomass fuels. You will need to:
Write a definition of fuel.
Write 8 sentences about fuel.
- How is it made?
- Where is it made?
- What is it made with?
- What countries use it?
- What uses will it have in the future?
Place 1 image of the fuel.
Biomass Fuel types.
Name Agricultural crops and wood fuels.
Research: Wood biomass is the main source of wood energy in New Zealand and in other, countries aswell. It comes in several forms, including firewood, shavings, sawdust, wood chips, agricultural crops and bark.

Definition: Animal poo and wee
Research: Horse manure cow manure...

Definition: Gas
Research: gaseous fuel, especially methane, produced by the fermentation of organic matter.

Definition: Natural gases.
Research: vegetable oils and liquid animal fats green diesel derived from algae and other plant sources.
Conclusion: This experiment aims to get the materials and use the instructions properly. Once you have done these things the results should be that the germs in the horse manure and the other materials in the bottle and some heat should make the ballon rise bigger and bigger until the ballon can not rise any more. The important part of this experiment is to make sure you have followed the instructions correctly and have FUN while you are doing it.

Recycling for science.
Hurumanu - Recycling
Aim: To learn practical ways of recycling so that we can make our world a better place.
How can we prevent climate change by recycling these products?
Plastics: It's not releasing carbon dioxide gas because you aren't burning anything.
Cycling or walking: Means that you are not driving and letting outgas
Paper: Means that you don't have do cut down more trees
Steel: Mean you don't need to use coal to melt down the steel.
What is Zero Waste? one of the quickest and cheapest ways a community can immediately reduce climate impact.

How long do they take to decompose... There are five things on this board that I have chosen to research. Below there are the five things that I chose.
- Glass… It is actually one of the longest man-made materials. It takes about one million years to decompose. The fossil fuel is hydrocarbons and methane. fossil fuel Any fuel such as coal, petroleum crude oil or natural gas that has developed within the Earth over millions of years from the decayed remains of bacteria, plants or animals.Glass is 100% recyclable and can be recycled endlessly without loss in quality or purity. Glass is made from readily-available domestic materials, such as sand, soda ash, limestone and “cullet,” the industry term for furnace-ready recycled glass. The only material used in greater volumes than cullet is sand.
- Plastic… Normally plastic take at least takes 1000 years to decompose. Plastics are derived from natural, organic materials such as cellulose, coal, natural gas, salt and, of course, crude oil. Crude oil is a complex mixture of thousands of compounds and needs to be processed before it can be used. The production of plastics begins with the distillation of crude oil in an oil refinery. Plastic recycling is the process of recovering scrap or waste plastic and reprocessing the material into useful products. ... Each time plastic is recycled, additional virgin materials must be added to help improve the integrity of the material. So, even recycled plastic has new plastic material added in.
- Aluminium… Aluminium can take to 200-500 years to decompose/brake down. Bauxite is mined from the earth's crust and processed into alumina/aluminium. Because the ore is mined, it is often said that natural resources are being depleted.
